Communication is disastrous, they have forgotten to send me a summons three times already. Communication between departments seems to be non-existent. In the ER I was only told that it was a fracture. I was given a gilet to immobilize. I was put off work for a week. I was sent home with a prescription for painkillers. 1 week. later the fractures were heavily displaced.

Before the operation I was given a pain cataract, which was very painful. It slipped out about 15 hours after the operation, apparently it was a manufacturing defect, that happens sometimes. The staff was overwhelmed because they couldn't get my pain under control. I felt like a guinea pig. Great scar.

I could only move around in the hospital with the help of a walker. When I was discharged, the doctor treating me told me that my family doctor would get me another one through Spitex. This information is incorrect. You have to buy the walker yourself (and the insurance doesn't pay for it, by the way).

Heart surgery (mitral valve reconstruction) by Prof Dr Dzemali. Very competent and friendly. The nursing staff was very friendly and competent as well. All in all, I felt very well looked after in the Triemli hospital.
